Bonnie Tyler has died at the age of 75, her family have confirmed.
Born Gaynor Hopkins in the village of Skewen, the Welsh singer performed six nights a week in Swansea before reaching the UK top 10 with her 1976 breakout singles Lost in France and It's a Heartache.
She went on to achieve international stardom with major hit Total Eclipse of the Heart, which made her the first Welsh artist to have a US number one in 1983.
Known for her powerhouse vocals, Tyler said she never tired of performing her signature songs, which also included 1984's Holding Out for a Hero. She continued touring throughout her life.
