Basingstoke swings onto the big screen in new Spider-Man film

Did you know that a part of the movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day was filmed here in Hampshire?

Basing View and the former AA headquarters, in Basingstoke, were transformed into a makeshift New York City for a few weeks in September and October 2025.

The scene was captured on mobile phones by a small crowd of residents and office workers who gathered to watch.

Onlookers said it was "cool" for Basingstoke, although the presence of large blue screens and New York signs suggested the Hampshire town might not be playing a starring role.
