Moonlight walk in memory of loved ones for hospice
Ollie Jones PhotographyIslanders have been invited to join an evening walk to celebrate the lives of those they have loved and lost.
Jersey Hospice Care's Moonlight Walk is set to start at 21:00 BST at St Brelade Parish Hall on 13 June and walkers can choose a 5K Half-Moon Walk or a 10K Full Moon Walk.
The charity's community engagement officer Marina Brockbankat said the walk was "a moment for our community to come together, remember those we love and shine a light in their honour".
"Every step taken helps us continue providing the compassionate hospice care that families and their loved ones rely on," she added.
Jersey Hospice CareJersey Hospice Care is the island's only hospice and it provides specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions at no cost.
The team said it cost £22,000 a day to run the service, most of which was funded by donations.
The business administration and compliance solutions provider CSC has agreed to sponsor the Moonlight Walk for the next three years.
CSC Channel Islands managing director Nicola Giraud said the firm was "proud to contribute to an organisation that provides such vital support and makes a meaningful difference to so many across the island".
