A water park in a city has been forced to close temporarily due to a fault in its plant room.

The Bretton Water Park in Peterborough, which is managed by Vivacity, opened for the summer season on 16 July.

A Vivacity spokesperson said: "There was an issue in the plant room on Friday, and we are awaiting a part to fix the issue." No reopening date has been confirmed.

The attraction is scheduled to remain open for the summer until 30 August, with the exception of Mondays.

The family-friendly water park is free to visit and features splash fountains and changing facilities.
