The moment glass bottles are thrown at police car on its way to emergency call
Police responding to an emergency call had their windscreen smashed when a man threw a bag of glass bottles at their car.
Mark Fraser, 40, from Trecynon, Rhondda Cynon Taf, was sentenced to three years in prison, suspended for three years, at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Wednesday.
The incident happened in Aberdare in November, causing about £900 worth of damage to the vehicle.
Fraser admitted to criminal damage by recklessly endangering life.
In the video, a police officer can be heard saying to Fraser he did not understand why the bottles had been thrown.
"I'm driving down here, responding to a G1 [emergency call] and now I can't because I'm dealing with you," the officer said.
"You could've killed me, mate."
As well as the suspended prison sentence, Fraser was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work and pay more than £6,000 in compensation.
