A1 closed in both directions after serious crash

The A1 in Rutland had been closed in both directions following a serious crash.

National Highways said a stretch was closed between the B1081 in Great Casterton and the A606 in Stamford after a collision involving a lorry which had left the carriageway.

The body said all emergency services including an air ambulance were in attendance.

It added National Highways officers were also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.
