Thunderstorms warning for north-east Scotland
stargazer/BBC Weather WatchersThunderstorms could bring about 2in (50mm) of rain to parts of Scotland within several hours, the Met Office has warned.
It has issued a yellow "be aware" warning for rain for north-east Scotland, including Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth, until 22:00.
It said a few places could see almost an inch in an hour, with hail and lightning also possible.
The Met Office said travel could be disrupted and there was a risk of flooding. It said the weather should ease before dying out later.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) has issued three flood alerts for Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire, Dundee and Angus and Tayside.
