Getty ImagesA man and a woman fled the scene after the car they were in crashed into a house following a high-speed police pursuit on the A1(M) in North Yorkshire.
Police said they were searching for the couple who fled from a silver Range Rover which had left the A1(M) and was found embedded into the side of a house in Topcliffe, near Thirsk, at 03:20 BST.
Officers said the car had failed to stop for police after it was spotted travelling at speed near Boroughbridge at 03:10 BST.
Nobody in the property, on East Lea, reported any injuries and police are asking anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
North Yorkshire Police said extensive searches had been carried out to try and locate the man and woman, which involved officers, police dogs, a drone and helicopter but the two individuals had not been located.
The vehicle has also been recovered for forensic examination, a spokesperson for the force said.
