New services added in rail timetable changes
WMRExtra train services will begin running from this weekend as part of a national shake-up of timetables, West Midlands Railway said.
New early morning services will start on the line between Wolverhampton and Rugeley, Staffordshire, along with a new direct service between Walsall and London Euston.
The changes will be brought in from Sunday as part of the national, twice yearly timetable update, the operator said.
Passengers are advised to check their travel times, Jonny Wiseman, from WMR, said.
The London Northwestern Railway (LNR) service will depart from Walsall every weekday at 05:46 BST and the 18:26 service from Euston will also now end at Walsall.
The introduction of new, longer electric trains on services to and from Euston by LNR, WMR's sister brand, would increase capacity by a fifth, the operator said.
Wiseman said he welcomed the new services for passengers.
"All our new timetables are now in journey planners and, while most of our changes are relatively minor, I'd encourage passengers to check their travel times in case they are different to what they're used to," he added.
