Teenagers arrested after man stabbed in street

Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was seriously injured in a stabbing in Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police was called to Shelford Rise, off Carlton Road, at about 17:00 BST on Monday.

The force said a man in his 40s was taken to hospital after he was found with stab wounds.

A 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent, police added.

Officers said a cordon remained in place and urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact the force.

Det Insp Kayne Rukas said: "Our inquiries are at a very early stage, but a man has suffered serious injuries and we are working to understand exactly what has happened.

"We know there will be concern locally, but two arrests have been made, and we currently believe this was an isolated incident with no wider risk."
