Man charged with murder after death in Romney Marsh

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Romney Marsh.

Kent Police said officers were called to Holly Road, in St Mary's Bay, at 09:30 BST on Thursday, following a report of concern for a person.

The force attended alongside paramedics but a man in his 90s was pronounced dead at the scene, it said. His next of kin have been informed.

On Friday, 66-year-old Mark Lambert, from Folkestone, was charged with murder.

Police said the two men were known to each other.

Lambert was due appear at Folkestone Magistrates Court on Saturday.
