Man sentenced for controlling behaviour

A man accused of sexual assault and voyeurism has seen prosecutors offer no evidence in court over the charges, which he had denied, but guilty pleas over a raft of other matters - including controlling behaviour - have resulted in a suspended prison sentence.

Henry Stokes, 28, from Shifnal in Shropshire, also admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and attempted common assault.

At Shrewsbury Crown Court, he further admitted dangerous driving, theft, assault and criminal damage.

He was handed a 35-month prison sentence, suspended for three years.
