A 50-year-old man from Kingsteignton has been arrested on suspicion of murder

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in her 30s in Devon.

Police said officers responded to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman at an address in Hollam Way, Kingsteignton, at about 09:50 BST on Saturday.

Officers and paramedics attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a 50-year-old man from the area has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. Officers are at the scene and enquires remain ongoing.
