Man in court charged with raping girl, 15, at Oban football pitch

A man has appeared in court charged with raping a 15-year-old girl at a football pitch in Oban.

Police received a report of an incident at the playing fields on Mossfield Avenue at about 23:15 on Saturday.

Cameron Laird, 25, made no plea to when he appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court earlier.

He was granted bail and his next appearance is to be confirmed.
