Long delays on motorway after car and lorry crash

Motorists are facing long delays after a car and lorry crashed on the M25 during rush hour.

It happened on the anticlockwise carriageway in Essex between junction 27 for the M11 and junction 26 for Waltham Abbey.

Traffic service Inrix said all traffic was temporarily held before 08:00 BST.

National Highways said on X that all lanes reopened shortly before 09:30 but there were still delays of 40 minutes and six miles (9.7km) of congestion.
