Child seriously injured in holiday park collision

A child is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car at a holiday park.

The incident happened at about 09:23 BST at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park in Burton Bradstock, Dorset.

Paramedics attended, along with officers from Dorset Police, who have remained on site to conduct inquiries.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences and remains in police custody.

Police said the child's next of kin had been informed.
