Reward of up to £20k offered over double shooting

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for a double fatal shooting in Wolverhampton.

Duaine Mills, 28, was killed and Syed Zain Ali, 32, wounded when shots were fired on Leicester Street in Whitmore Reans at about 03:10 BST on 19 September. Mr Ali died in hospital five days later.

West Midlands Police confirmed an individual named as Mohammed Maneer Khan, identified through CCTV inquiries, was still a suspect, and the force was continuing to appeal for information on his whereabouts.

Last month a force detective said the dead men's families were "devastated".

Mr Mills and Mr Ali were in a car when multiple shots were fired towards the vehicle, Crimestoppers said.

The charity added it was independent from police and reminded the public that people could "tell us what you know and remain 100% anonymous".

The charity's West Midlands regional manager Alan Edwards said two "young men have lost their lives in a brutal attack".

Last month, Det Insp Joe Davenport from West Midlands Police's homicide team said: "The families of both these men, Duaine and Syed, are devastated and we remain absolutely committed to getting them the justice their loved ones deserve."
