Inverness Airport said it's had to schedule some closures to its air traffic control service

Inverness Airport has said flights in and out of the Highland capital will be disrupted this bank holiday weekend.

A spokesperson said it has had to schedule some closures to its air traffic service due to "unforeseen staffing issues".

Flights will be affected until Sunday, and passengers have been asked to contact their airline directly for the latest information on services.

The airport operator Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL) has apologised for the inconvenience.
