Two football fans suffered burns and a five-year-old boy's clothes were damaged when a flare was thrown into a crowd during a match.

It happened during Portsmouth FC's game against Blackburn Rovers at Fratton Park on 19 September, when the flare was thrown from the away section into a group of Portsmouth supporters in the Milton stand.

A 46-year-old woman from Havant and a 26-year-old man from Gosport suffered minor burns, while the boy, also from Gosport, had his clothing damaged.

Hampshire Police has released images of a man it wants to speak to in connection with the incident.

The images, captured on CCTV at the ground, have also been shared with Lancashire Constabulary.

The force has asked anyone who recognises the man, or has information about the incident, to come forward.
