Death of man found at village tip 'not suspicious'

The death of a man whose body was found at a waste tip in an East Yorkshire village is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Police cordoned off a section of the Pocklington Household Waste Recycling Site on Pocklington Lane in Burnby after the discovery of the body at about 15:15 BST on Wednesday.

In an update on Friday, Humberside Police said there was no evidence of third-party involvement and the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Police have since removed the scene guard and East Riding of Yorkshire Council said the waste site, which was closed on Thursday, had reopened on Friday.
