Boxing and wrestling plans for York stadium
Jane Bowes/BBCYork's LNER Community Stadium has applied to be able to host boxing and wrestling matches, outside the normal sporting seasons.
They are among a number of events proposed in a licensing application for the site, which is home to York City FC, York Knights and York Valkyrie.
If approved it would allow the operator, York Stadium Management Company, to also host music events and dance performances.
The application to City of York Council states that the events would be held up to three days a year, during May and June.
They would take place within the bowl of the 8,500-capacity stadium at Huntington's Monks Cross Shopping Park, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
Land next to its west and north stands and north car park would be used when outdoor events within the stadium bowl took place.
The stadium would be licensed for events from 09:00 to 22:30 daily, with alcohol sales permitted from 12:00.
People can comment on the application until Wednesday 28 October.
Seb Cheer/BBCIt follows a separate bid to try to tackle queues for the stadium's bar at peak times, lodged with the council earlier this month.
Greenwich Leisure Ltd's (GLL) application would see a "box bar" created to increase the points of sale for alcohol.
Changes in the application also include reducing the hours when the stadium would be licensed to sell alcohol.
Sales would end at 23:30 across all licensed areas in the stadium if the plans are approved, two-and-a-half hours earlier than the current 02:00.
Non-sporting events such as showing televised matches on screens would also be permitted.
Approval of GLL's application would see the stadium licensed to sell alcohol from 08:00 to 23:30 every day.
It would also allow indoor sporting events and other performances including those featuring live and recorded music to be held during those hours.
That application is open for comments until Wednesday 21 October.
