All lanes have reopened on a section of the M25 in Surrey after a vehicle fire, according to National Highways.

The fire has been put out, but anticlockwise traffic between junction nine for Leatherhead and junction eight for Reigate remains affected by the disruption.

National Highways said at 12:10 GMT there were delays of about 24 minutes, with tailbacks of four miles (6.4km) on the approach to the incident.

Vehicle recovery and clear up works were under way, it added.
