Four monsters deflated due to windy weather
BBCFour inflatable monsters installed in Nottingham city centre as part of a trail have been deflated amid concerns about the windy weather.
The giant inflatables - called Groaner, Howler, Berzerker, Snapper and Rombald Rock Giant - were positioned on buildings including the Market Square House, Binks Yard, Nottingham College and NG-One nightclub.
The brightly coloured installations form part of a trail that was due to begin on Monday and run until Halloween, but the effects of Storm Boelo - which battered much of the UK - means Howler is the sole monster still standing.
Organisers It's In Nottingham confirmed the monsters had been temporarily deflated and removed until weather conditions improve.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for strong winds from 18:00 on Monday to 03:00 on Tuesday across the west coast of England, Wales and Scotland and eastern parts of Northern Ireland.
The announcement came less than a week after organisers of a similar trail in Leicester announced it had to take down five inflatable monsters on rooftops in the city due to windy weather.
A spokesperson for It's In Nottingham added: "All five monsters have arrived in the city centre as part of our Halloween Festival but due to the windy weather, you may sometimes find that they are hiding. This is because we've had to deflate some of them temporarily until the weather improves."
