Drugs arrest made after woman dies at house

A man has been arrested for drugs offences after a woman died suddenly at a property in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire Police said the force was called at 21:21(BST) on Bank Holiday Monday after the 50-year-old woman was found unresponsive at an address on St John's Green, Kimberworth Park.

Emergency services attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed.

A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs in connection with the incident and was taken to hospital for medical treatment, where he remains.
