Man in 80s dies days after tipper lorry crash

A man in his 80s has died days after a crash involving a car and a tipper lorry in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Emergency services were called to the A53 near Flash, between Leek and Buxton, at about 09:20 BST on Sunday.

One of the drivers was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the crash.

Staffordshire Police said he died in hospital on Tuesday evening, and specialist officers have been supporting his family since.

Police said the other driver remained at the scene to assist officers, and appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage to call 101.
