Scooter rider critically injured in crash

A 61-year-old scooter rider is in a "critical but stable" condition in hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Bradford, police have said.

The collision, which happened at about 09:40 BST on Saturday on Canal Road, near ACW Garden Centre, involved a Lambretta scooter, a grey Volkswagen Golf and a black Volvo, according to West Yorkshire Police.

The driver of the Golf, a 24-year-old man, was interviewed under caution and inquiries were continuing, a force spokesperson said.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who had relevant dashcam footage from the scene, was urged to get in touch with police.
