Police seek 'significant witness' in Sunbury stabbing

Police are seeking a "significant witness" after a stabbing in Surrey which saw two people hurt.

The incident happened at a property on Vicarage Road in Sunbury shortly after 14.30 BST on Thursday.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of affray and taken to hospital, along with a second man in his 50s. Both were treated for "injuries consistent with a stabbing", Surrey Police said.

The force is appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened, including those with CCTV or dashcam footage, to get in touch.

A spokesperson said officers are "particularly interested in speaking to a significant witness who was passing by the address when she was asked by those carrying out first aid to get a towel".

She is described as being in her late 40s to early 50s, around five feet and seven inches tall, with brown hair and wearing "a purple fleecy jacket".
