Drink drive arrest after woman badly hurt in crash

A woman has been seriously hurt after a crash between two vehicles, with a man held on suspicion of drink driving.

The woman was injured following the collision in Milton Crescent, Farnworth, at about 11:00 BST on Saturday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Officers said she remained in hospital and appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.
