Police have appealed for additional information after officers received reports a young woman had been raped in Nottingham city centre.

Nottinghamshire Police was called to Adams Walk, in the Lace Market, at 02:46 BST on Saturday.

The force said extensive investigations had taken place over the weekend and the victim was being supported.

Officers said they would like to speak to anyone who saw a man and a woman together on Adams Walk at about 02:15 on Saturday.

Det Sgt Hayley Denoon said: "We have been working hard over the weekend to understand what happened at this location.

"To this end, we have interviewed a number of people and reviewed a significant amount of CCTV footage.

"As we continue with our investigation, we would like to speak with any additional witnesses who may have seen or heard anything untoward in the Adams Walk area at about 2.15am.

"Even the smallest amount of detail could make all the difference in this investigation."
