Manager who stole £14k from resort sentenced
Google MapsA man has been been given a suspended prison sentence for stealing money from staff and customers of a holiday resort.
Stuart Dilloway, 36, set up a new banking system using his own bank details at the Retallack Resort and Spa in St Columb Major, Cornwall into which clients made payments between March 2023 and August 2024.
Truro Crown Court heard Dilloway, of Cleers Crescent, Whitemoor, Nanpean, had gained £14,152 from fraud by false representation while he was a manager at the resort. The fraud ended when a customer queried one of the payments.
Judge Simon Carr sentenced Dilloway to 18 months in jail, suspended for two years, with 240 hours unpaid work but made no order for compensation.
