Boy, 15, arrested after man and teen stabbed

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault after two people people were stabbed.

Greater Manchester Police said a 16-year-old boy and a man, 18, were attacked just after 17:30 BST on Tuesday in Whittaker Lane, Prestwich.

Their injuries were not believed to be "life threatening or life changing", the force said.

Det Supt Gareth Jenkins said: "Violence on our streets will not be tolerated, and I want to reassure members of the public that we believe this is an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public."
