Man charged after boy, 9, in critical condition
GoogleA man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a boy was seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to Masshouse Lane at the junction of Shannon Road in Kings Norton, in Birmingham, at about 17:55 BST on Tuesday.
A nine-year-old boy was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition. A woman in her 60s, was also injured and is recovering from her injuries.
A 32-year-old man is expected to appear at Birmingham Magistrates court on Thursday. He was charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, and driving while disqualified and without insurance.
West Midlands Police are still appealing to anyone who might have information or was in the area at the time.
