Mum and man charged after baby's death

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a newborn baby boy four years ago.

Jamie Fulford, 26, of Tournament Road in Salisbury, Wiltshire, will appear at Salisbury Magistrates' Court later charged with murder and causing or allowing the harm or death of a child.

The baby's mother Sophie Egerton, 22, of Tournament Road, will also appear in court charged with causing or allowing the death or harm of a child after her four-week-old boy died on 9 September 2022.

Wiltshire Police confirmed the baby was admitted to hospital with serious injuries on 1 September 2022 and died eight days later.
