Man arrested after A66 crash denies drug dealing

A man arrested in the wake of the A66 crash which killed seven people, including two police officers, has denied dealing cocaine.

Cameron George, 26, pleaded not guilty to possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and having criminal property, namely money, when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court.

He was arrested on 22 August as part of police action hours after the crash near Middlesbrough, which killed PC Tom Clough and PC Matthew Blades in their response car and five other men, who were in a VW Passat going the wrong way down the dual carriageway.

George, of Micklow Close, Redcar, was remanded into custody with a trial set for 4 February.
