Man on the run after absconding from prison

A man who is currently on remand awaiting trial for blackmail and money laundering related offences is unlawfully at large.

Patrick McDonagh, 37, absconded while on compassionate leave on 12 March 2026 when he failed to return to HMP Maghaberry.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said: "Despite extensive efforts to locate and arrest him, he has thus far evaded police."

Police are currently appealing to anyone who has seen Patrick McDonagh, or who knows of his whereabouts to contact them.
