Flats evacuated after explosion and teen arrested
Jacob Ottaway/BBCA teenager was arrested on suspicion of arson after an explosion which was believed to have been caused by an aerosol can.
Police were called to Princes Street in Ipswich just before 20:45 BST on Friday and found several windows were damaged.
People were asked to leave a block of flats as a precaution but they have since been allowed to return and the street has been reopened.
An 18-year-old man was arrested earlier on suspicion of arson and criminal damage with intent to endanger life.
Police believe an aerosol can was placed on a heat source.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and the East of England Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
