Guernsey Police said they had been recently dealing with concerns around housing estates

An initiative to help tackle anti-social behaviour has "proven to be a success", according to police.

Guernsey Police said it had partnered with both the Youth Commission and Guernsey Sports Commission charities to provide activities for young people following concerns around housing estates.

It said officers had attended a range of different events, including the Havelet Regatta and Balcony Gig.

The force said had ramped up patrols in known anti-social behaviour hotspots such as Beau Sejour, Admiral Park, and the Town Bus Terminus, which it said would continue to be a "focus throughout the summer months, when more people are out and about".

It said: "Anti-social behaviour is something that materially changes the community we live in, which is why we take it very seriously."

Police urged people to be "mindful of others" and encouraged anyone who may witness anti-social behaviour to report it.
