Teenager arrested as motorcyclist dies after crash

An 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist died following a crash in Kent, police say.

Kent Police said it was called at about 20:30 BST on Friday to reports of a collision involving a black BMW 420D car and a motorbike on the coastbound A2 London Road near Teynham.

The motorcyclist, who was driving a black Yamaha MT-09, had serious injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene near the junction with Lewson Street, the force added.

Kent Police says the 18-year-old man remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
