Doctor charged with sexual assault of woman
BBCA doctor has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman following an investigation by police.
Dr Danial Moin Baloch worked on a temporary basis for the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) NHS Trust in Staffordshire until August 2024.
The 30-year-old was charged over a sexual assault report made to police two months after he stopped working for the trust.
The force said the concerns were raised in relation to the period when Baloch was working as a doctor for the trust.
Baloch, of Worsley, near Manchester, is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 28 July.
Neither police or the trust would confirm if the report was made by a patient.
A spokesperson from UHNM said: "We can confirm that Dr Danial Baloch worked at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust as a temporary worker.
"He has not worked at UHNM since August 2024.
"As this is part of a criminal investigation it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.
"Our priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our patients."
