Man, 38, dies after three-vehicle crash in Scottish Borders

A 38-year-old man has died following a three-vehicle crash on the A68 in the Scottish Borders.

The accident happened near St Boswells at about 21:00 on Saturday and involved a white Ford Transit, a green Suzuki SX4 and a white Honda ZR-V.

Emergency services attended but the 38-year-old driver of the Ford Transit later died in hospital.

The 62-year-old female driver of the Suzuki sustained a serious injury and the 66-year-old male driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed to allow for a collision investigation to be carried out and was reopened at about 04:40 on Sunday.

Sgt Fraser Mitchell said: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw any of these vehicles prior to the collision, to please get in touch with officers."
