Firefighters have put out a large fire in a crop field near Hungerford Park in Berkshire.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) firefighters were sent to tackle the blaze at about 13:55 BST on Friday, with help coming from Oxfordshire crews, as well as the Dorset and Wiltshire service.

They used hoses and beaters to control the fire and prevent it spreading beyond an area of about 300m by 200m.

Most crews had left the scene by about 17:10, leaving a crew from Hungerford to dampen down the area.
