Murder charge over death of man found on pavement
Family handoutA man has been charged with murder after another man was found unconscious on a pavement and died two weeks later in hospital.
Michael Bennett, 38, was discovered in Reservoir Road, Erdington, Birmingham, shortly before 01:00 BST on 27 March.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on 10 April, West Midlands Police said.
Kevin Siviter, 42, from Birmingham, has been charged with his murder and is due before the city's magistrates on Monday.
Det Insp Michelle Cordell, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our thoughts remain with Michael's family at this tragic time.
"While this is a significant development, we are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to please get in touch."
She said her team wanted to speak to anyone who was in the area of Reservoir Road between 21:30 on Thursday, 26 March and 00:55 on Friday, 27 March.
