Play area re-opens after major revamp
BBCA refurbished play area has been officially re-opened at a ceremony.
Jersey's infrastructure minister Deputy Jonathan Renouf cut the ribbon on the revamped St Aubin play area just three days into his new role.
The reopening marked the completion of the improvement works in time for the holiday season.
Renouf said the previous play ground became dilapidated and unsafe and the play area was an example of "the continuous programme of improvement in the public realm" he wanted to see.

Renouf said: "I think it's a wonderful thing to be able to do for young people and families in the island.
"I think it sends out a really important message that we do want to improve the public realm, and that we want to see a continuous programme of improvement in the public realm, and this is one relatively small but very significant part of that."
The designer of the project, Emily Jennings, said: "It was really exciting to transform a piece of play kit and to add bespoke features to really tailor it to this community and this space.
"My real passion is that there's something for everybody in every area so all children in Jersey are able to freely access age-appropriate play that complements and supports their child's development.
"I've paid particular attention to the lower parts for the crawlers and the pre-walkers.
"The low net has got great sensory value for children who can lie in it but also practice walking over an uneven surface."
