Attempted murder charge after woman hit by off-road motorbike

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a pedestrian was injured by an off-road motorbike in Aberdeen.

A 29-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after a collision on Garthdee Drive on Saturday afternoon.

Brian Noble, 43, of Aberdeen, appeared at the city's sheriff court to face charges including assault to severe injury, the danger of life, and attempted murder.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
