Man arrested after being spotted with 'handgun'
Getty ImagesA man has been arrested after being spotted with what appeared to be a handgun on a street in West Yorkshire.
Armed officers were called to Frank Street in Bradford at 18:11 BST on Sunday and the man was incapacitated by what is known as an Attenuating Energy Projectile (AEP), which a police spokesperson described as a "less-lethal option for firearms situations".
The 36-year-old man was taken to hospital but was not believed to have received any life-threatening or serious injuries, said West Yorkshire Police.
He has since been arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, the force added.
A scene remained in place earlier on Frank Street and inquiries are ongoing.
