A number of shots have been fired at a house in Londonderry.

The police said they found "several gunshot strikes to the front door of a house" in the Circular Road area of Creggan on Monday night.

Det Insp Lavery said the occupant was not at home when the attack happened and was unharmed.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious vehicles in the area or who may have CCTV or doorbell footage to come forward.
