The 16 support artists who will support headliners including Mika and The Macabees at this summer's Eden Sessions in Cornwall have been unveiled by organisers.

The Eden Project said the "biggest ever" line-up would include MEEK, American Hi-Fi, Alfie Templeman, Everything Everything and Girl in the Year Above.

The event held in front of the attraction's biomes across 10 nights will celebrate the charity's 25th anniversary.

Simon Townsend, Eden Sessions director, said the event would bring together "incredible artists" in one of the most "distinctive and intimate" live music settings.

He added: "The Eden Sessions have always been about creating unforgettable moments in an extraordinary place, and we're thrilled to share the full sessions line-up complete with star-studded special guests."

The 150th session will welcome back indie-pop band Bastille.

The band previously played at the Eden Project in 2017, with coverage later broadcast on BBC Four as part of the Live at Eden series.

Organisers said signing with AEG Presents - a global live events company - in 2019, was a "pivotal moment" in the history of the event, enabling the "booking of more major artists".

Other artists include MEEK, who will join Mika and the Maccabees, while rock group American Hi-Fi will join Bowling for Soup and Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls.

Other special guests joining this year's line-up include British singer-songwriter Alfie Templeman and alt-rock group Everything Everything.

They will be joined by five guests including Sunderland-based Tom A. Smith and Texas-born, Devon-based Tummyache.
