A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling from the roof of an industrial building in the Borders.

Emergency services were called out to the site on Liddesdale Road in Hawick on Thursday afternoon.

The man was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for treatment.

Police said that the Health and Safety Executive had been informed.
