Planning permission has been granted for a swimming pool for dogs in Barton-Upon-Humber.

The Doggy Paddle Club, on Brigg Road, will feature an indoor heated pool for dogs of all breeds and abilities, as well as an indoor activity centre.

North Lincolnshire Council approved the plans to change the use of a commercial unit, subject to conditions to manage noise levels. Permission was also granted for a new entrance and window arrangement.

The conditions include pre-booked appointments only and a maximum of six dogs being allowed on site at any time. An opening date is yet to be announced.

There will also be an interactive play and sensory experience for the pets, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

The centre's website said owners would be able to book a range of classes, courses and events, including workshops, puppy classes and sessions for older dogs.
