Three teenagers arrested after man stabbed

Three teenage boys have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Bulwell.

Nottinghamshire Police said it was called to Stock Well at about 02:50 BST on Sunday to reports of a group fighting with weapons.

A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds, the force added, and was taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-altering or life-threatening.

It was also discovered the front door to a property in the street had been damaged and a second person had been threatened with a knife.

Det Sgt Christopher Sutton said: "We believe the group were attempting to interact with people within the property.

"They became aggressive when they weren't allowed in and other members of public intervened."

One suspect was arrested nearby, while another was detained near the River Leen, where police said it recovered a machete after "wading into" the water.

A third suspect was arrested at an address a short time later.

Police said three boys, 14, 15 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The 14-year-old and 15-year-old were also held on suspicion of causing criminal damage and possession of a Class B drug.

All three have been bailed by police pending further investigations.
